Our ten-year-old community garden is getting a new name and new home! Formerly Galilee Community Garden, the new garden will be the Kent Island Community Garden (KICG)!
Our new location is county-owned property off White Pine Lane in Stevensville.
Conveniently located next to the Cross Island Trail and the Island Dog Park for easy access!
Fenced multiple 4x12 individual raised bed garden plots for Community Members to grow vegetable or flower gardens.
Enjoy the native pollinators, organic herb and wildflower gardens
Look for many future learning opportunities for each of these unique gardens!
Working with local schools, QAC library and community interest groups through the University of MD and QAC Master Gardener program, to promote collaboration and positive environmental action campaigns.
We anticipate many hands on learning opportunities in the future, as well as partnerships with local food banks!
